After the release of Julia’s second EP, “Kyss mig snabbt i otakt,” in 2024, the Swedish music scene once again turned its attention to her. She has previously been praised by icons such as Jan Gradvall. Together with producer Kid Eriksson (Tjuvjakt) and others, she has crafted a sound that is both timeless and perfectly in tune with the times.
The music evokes Swedish pop in its most iconic form—from the collaboration between Veronica Maggio and Oskar Linnros to the early sounds of Mauro Scocco. With organic arrangements and live instruments, Julia’s voice is transported to a dreamlike landscape, and her work places her among the artists who are revitalizing the Swedish pop genre.
As the daydreamer she is, Julia Lov lives much of her life through the lens of escapism. With a fragile yet confident voice, she shares her innermost dreams, often tinged with self-criticism and a faint note of desperation. Her music speaks to kindred spirits—hopeless romantics who live more in the future than in the present.
Julia Lov, a 25-year-old from Stockholm, has also become a role model for young people who are struggling to find the courage to be themselves. She is passionate about equality, acceptance, and the right to express one’s identity without being constrained by social norms.
